jQuery doesnt need any introduction as it is the easiest solution for various design and development related tasks. jQuery Plugins help you out to simplify and optimize your web applications and keep your websites one step ahead in competition.

We are back with some fine jquery plugins, in this list we have amassed 12 of the useful and handy jquery plugins which released in the month of January 2014. Following jQuery plugins are handy and useful for designing and developing cool web applications. Hopefully you will find the list helpful and worthy. Enjoy !!

1. Floatlable.js

The Float Label Pattern found his success after Brad Frost wrote a blog post about Float Label Patterns. The idea is based on a Dribbble Shot by Matt D Smith. The Pattern is easy to explain. On User Interaction with an input field the placeholder value moves up, and is displayed above the typed text. This Plugin offers you the possibility to upgrade your forms with this famous pattern. Include the latest release of jQuery.
 

2. Share Button

Share Button is a simple, light, flexible, and good-looking share button jquery plugin. It doesn’t load any iframes or extra javascript and overall load time is tons faster. It looks simple and clean by default, and can be customized in any and every way. It’s tiny and compact, expanding only when the user actually wants to share something. You can pass an options object when you call share on an element to make things a little more flexible.
 

3. Nanogallery

nanoGallery
nanoGallery is very easy to implement image gallery plugin for jQuery. It is touch enabled, responsive, fast and it supports cloud storage. Featuring multi-level navigation in albums, lightbox, many hover effects on thumbnails, slideshow, fullscreen, pagination, image lazy load, themes, bootstrap compatibility, customizable, i18n, and pulling in Flickr/Picasa/Google+ photo albums among others.
 

4. SVG Magic

SVGMagic is a cross-browser compatible jQuery plugin that searches for SVG images on your site and automatically creates PNG versions if the browser doesn’t support SVG. It’s a simple, single-purpose plugin that requires no configuration.
 

5. Lookup.jS

lookUp.Js
Lookup.js is a simple jQuery plugin used to check input values, showing which elements where changed, and alerting the user that he has to submit the changes before doing other actions.
 

6. Slidebars

Slidebars
Slidebars is a jQuery plugin for quickly and easily implementing app-style revealing menus and sidebars into your website. Slidebars was born from a reoccurring need to create sliding revealing mobile menus for responsive design. It’s ultra-light at 1021 bytes (js) & 446 bytes (css) when gzipped, uses hardware accelerated transitions where possible for quick and smooth animation, falling back to jQuery .animate() on un-supporting browsers.
 

7. Coverflow.js

The Coverflow project seeks to create a fully functional ‘CoverFlow’ effect using a combination of jQuery, jQuery UI components and CSS3 transforms.
 

8. BttrLazyLoading

BttrLazyLoading
BttrLazyLoading is a Jquery plugin that allows your web application to only load images within the viewport. It also allows you to have different version of an image for 4 different screen sizes. BttrLazyLoading allows your Web application to defer image loading until images are scrolled to. That way the page loading time decreases considerably.
 

9. Responsive Lazy Loader

Responsive lazy loader
Responsive lazy loader allows you lo load the most appropriate image renditions according to the current breakpoint and to the current display into the CSS grid-system.
It can be used as a simple lazy loader, simply as a responsive lazy loader (taking care of the breakpoint) or as an advanced lazy loader taking care of breakpoint and display.
 

10. qpScroll

qpscroll
qpScroll is a jQuery plugin that creates a parallax background for any page or div. It is simple to setup. It can be added to any existing page without the need to change the HTML mark up.
 

11. Fluidbox

fluidbox
Fluidbox is a jQuery plugin that replicate the distraction-free, fluid lightbox seen on Medium, and to improve on it such that it will allow linking to a larger-resolution image. It works on mobile and also plugin deals with higher resolution, linked images elegantly, such that it only preloads them when users click on the thumbnails.
 

12. Mappy.js

mappyjs
Mappy.js is a jQuery plugin to select places on a map. As well as picking places, you can add/edit ones to integrate with your own database.
