Your T-shirts might have been ripped off, it may have been full of holes but you can’t just throw it off. Most of us find it very tough to part ways with our favorite T-shirts as they become a part and parcel of our lives. The design of the t-shirts makes sense as it is the design which is first noticed by your friends. For most of us, t-shirts often become a part of our identity.

Do you have any killer idea for printing the design on your t-shirts? Are you a business owner who is looking forward to having a worthy alternative or making a passive income? Are you interested in a Valentines svg file for gifting a T-shirt to your partner? Or do you wish to gift someone t-shirt for a family reunion or for a bachelorette party? Here are few pro T-shirt printing tips that you can keep in mind.

Tip #1: Begin by making a plan of your color palette

Although a strange place to begin with, yet planning the color scheme is something that is most often overlooked by the designers. When apparel is to be created, it doesn’t matter whether you select the ink colors or the garment colors first. Make sure you simulate every garment and ink color combination by creating mock-ups before time so that you can have the results on screen. When the designs are created already, the process becomes lot easier.

Tip #2: Define the quantity and budget

Yes, you must be anxious to get the actual design on your T-shirt but before you give in your anxiety, make sure you settle few vital details so that you can focus more on the design, quantity and the budget. The amount you can spend and the number of t-shirts you’ll need will have an impact on the design.

Tip #3: Design in Adobe Illustrator

If you wish to control the way in which the graphic assets are designed, do so in vector format which can be done through Adobe Illustrator. Vector graphics, unlike .GIF, .JPG and .BMG formats are made of pixel grids and their size can be adjusted without compromising on the quality of the print. Hence, when you want the same logo to be printed on postcards, business cards, billboards and t-shirts, you can resize the images in Photoshop.

Tip #4: Leave separations to professionals

For the t-shirt graphics, the print shop will create separations for spot color on their own and hence there’s no requirement to separate the ink colors on your own. Irrespective of the program that you u se, set the color mode at RGB. You can also set it at CYMK or Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black which are combined for color printing.

Tip#5: Save 2 copies for yourself and for printing

When the final designing has been done, save the editable file in case you require making adjustments or edits later on. In case your printer has some issues, you’ll then have a copy to begin from the scratch again. This is a safety step.

Therefore, now that you know the detailed tips to take on t-shirt printing or logo designing, you should use the tips to design better t-shirts with your favorite logos.
