Are you one of those designers and developers who is seeking for some useful and fresh development tools for your next projects. If answer is in ‘yes’ then we might help you out with some of the latest designer and developer tools released recently.

In this month’s edition ( April 2016 ) we’ve included lots of productivity apps, frameworks, plugins, best practices guides, educational resources, testing tools, and much more.

If we’ve missed something that you think should have been on the list, let us know in the comments. And if you know of a new app or resource that should be featured next month, tweet it to @codegeekz to be considered!

1. Hugo

hugo
Hugo is a static HTML and CSS website generator written in Go. It is optimized for speed, easy use and configurability. Hugo takes a directory with content and templates and renders them into a full HTML website. Hugo relies on Markdown files with front matter for meta data. And you can run Hugo from any directory. This works well for shared hosts and other systems where you don’t have a privileged account.

2. Abot

abot
Abot (pronounced Eh-Bot, like the Canadians) is a digital assistant framework that enables anyone to easily build a digital assistant similar to Apple’s Siri, Microsoft’s Cortana, Google Now, or Amazon Alexa. Further, Abot supports a human-aided training backend enabling anyone to build services like Facebook M. Unlike those proprietary systems, Abot is open-sourced and extensible. By providing an extensible platform onto which anyone can easily add functionality, Abot is the first A.I. framework that aims to be available everywhere and— ultimately—to do everything.

3. GIF Editor

gif editor
GIF Editor lets you add animated stickers, fun filters, and captions to your GIFs. Simply choose a GIF to get started by entering a GIF URL or any GIPHY link or by dragging and dropping your image files. On the Stickers tab, search our entire sticker collection to add funny or weird GIF stickers to your GIF. Just type in your search term or click on our suggested searches, and click on the sticker you want to add to your GIF. You can add as many stickers as you want!

4. Privacy

privacy
Privacy gives you a new card number for every transaction. This protects you from card fraud, data breaches, and identity theft. Privacy is the first payments product that keeps your personal information private. And the best thing is, it’s even easier than using your regular credit card online. Privacy Visa Cards may be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.

5. Superpowers

superpowers
Superpowers is an HTML5 development environment for making 2D and 3D games. It can be extended with plugins and lets you collaborate in real-time. Superpowers is a downloadable HTML5 app. You can use it solo like a regular offline game maker, or setup a password and let friends join in on your project through their Web browser. It’s great for working together over long periods of time, for jamming over a weekend, or just for helping each other out with debugging!

6. Landscape

landscape
Landscape is a powerful image resizing tool designed to help social media marketers, content creators and business owners develop a standout presence in an increasingly visual social world. Their tool offers social media professionals an efficient way to produce multiple image sizes optimized for social media profiles, messages and campaigns – ultimately giving them more time to focus on what matters most: fostering engagement and authentic conversations through social.

7. AnimateMate

AnimateMate
You know feeling when you just need a simple animation for your awesome concept and you realize that it’s a huge process to move all assets into some other application? That’s a lot of hassle! That’s why AnimateMate is made in order to produce and export simple animations straight out of Sketch. It’s not exactly rocket science, but it can lighten your workflow in some cases. It is released under MIT License.

8. Attendize

sell tickets online
Attendize is a free, open-source & self-hosted ticket selling and event management platform. Attendize was designed to work on any sized device, so you can easily manage your events on the go.

9. React Storybook

react storybook
React Storybook lets you develop React UI components without running your app. Just load your UI components into React Storybook and start working on them.

10. Force.js

forcejs
Force.js is the easy way to scroll and animate your page. It uses CSS-Transitions to animate by default (and falls back to JavaScript if they’re not supported) and offers a variety of easing functions.

11. Draft.js

draftjs
Draft.js is a framework for building rich text editors in React, powered by an immutable model and abstracting over cross-browser differences.
Draft.js makes it easy to build any type of rich text input, whether you’re just looking to support a few inline text styles or building a complex text editor for composing long-form articles.

12. MJML

mjml
MJML is a markup language designed to reduce the pain of coding a responsive email. Its semantic syntax makes it easy and straightforward and its rich standard components library speeds up your development time and lightens your email codebase. MJML’s open-source engine generates high quality responsive HTML compliant with best practices.

13. Jolteon
