6 Pro Tips for Social Advertising and PPC Success in 2019

More than 2 billion people regularly use Facebook.

And that’s only one social media site. Just think of all the people you could be reaching if you utilize more than one of those sites.

Social advertising is simply required in today’s world if you’re looking for traffic or sales. People tend to be on social media, so you need to be there too.

That doesn’t mean pay per click (PPC) is too old school to be successful, though.

How can you use these two marketing methods successfully? Keep reading for six tips on how to do it.

Social media

1. Have a Strategy

No matter if you’re using Facebook ads, PPC, or a combination of the two, you need to have a strategy. Throwing your money towards your marketing outlets is fine and dandy, but you’ll likely get a much better return if you plan.

Plan how many ads you’ll run, where they’ll run, who they’ll be sent to, and more. The better you plan, the more you’ll be able to see if your plan was a success.

Marketing at random isn’t likely to bring you much traffic. You need to sell your product to the right people at the right time and in the right way. This means you’re going to have to plan.

As you strategize, find the best way to go about things. You may find that Adwords is your favorite PPC platform. To learn more about Adwords.

2. Define Your Audience and Talk to Them

Know who you’re trying to reach. Define your target audience, then cater to them in the ads you create.

It makes no sense to create an ad showing dogs in a bad light if you know most of your audience loves dogs.

Once you know who your audience is, you can start to design your ads for them. Create ads that target your intended audience.

Your ads should be something that your audience is likely to click on or care about. Otherwise, they’ll move on past them.

With both social advertising and PPC you can make sure your ad reaches the people who’re most likely to care about it.

3. Keep Track of Statistics

You’ll likely try a few different methods of marketing. You’ll use different campaigns at different times, too. So how do you know what’s successful and what isn’t?

The simple answer is, you’ve got to track. Set up a method of tracking the statistics for every marketing plan you have in place. Or choose a platform or software that will keep track for you.

If you don’t track numbers you’ll never know if your marketing methods are working or not. That’s not going to work if you’re really looking for success.

Your statistics tell you where your traffic is coming from. If you don’t have this information you won’t know which marketing methods to continue spending money on. Without stats, it’s simply a guessing game.

4. Don’t Just Focus on Facebook

Facebook is huge, there’s no doubt about that. But that’s not the only social platform you should have your eye on. If possible, you should use more than one.

You’ll reach different audiences if you use multiple social media sites.

Don’t forget to think outside the box. Facebook and Twitter certainly aren’t the only social media sites. Have you considered marketing on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is a place for professionals to network with one another. It’s definitely a social website, so make sure you don’t miss out.

On LinkedIn, you’ll end up with a different audience than you’d likely have on SnapChat. Each one has its own set of typical users. Find a way to reach out to them and you’ll likely see some success.

5. Don’t Look at Results too Often

In order to gauge how your marketing methods are working, you’ll need to check stats. But, that doesn’t mean you should check them all the time.

Constantly checking your stats will only drive you crazy, and you may end up making changes that aren’t for the best.

Why is that? If you make changes based on something you see when you look every day, you may actually make changes that are negative instead of positive.

Instead, check your results on a regular but spaced-out basis. Give your stats some time to really gather some information.

Limit yourself to checking at intervals. The information provided to you monthly will be much more reliable than stats that change each day.

6. Budget and Plan for the Future

Both social advertising and PPC will cost you, monetarily speaking, but both methods are successful. To use these methods without hurting your business make sure you have a marketing budget.

Once your budget is set, stick to it. Otherwise, you’ll cause yourself issues somewhere else along the line.

When planning your budget, don’t forget to look ahead. You’re planning on your business to continue. That means you’ll need to invest in marketing now and in the future.

Create a financial plan that will allow you to continue spending on marketing. Otherwise, you may find yourself out of funds, which would be very frustrating if your campaign was performing successfully.

Find Success With Social Advertising and PPC

Both social advertising and PPC are successful marketing methods you can try to get more traffic to your site. Either one is sure to bring in some people that haven’t been there before.

Utilizing both methods together is even better. You’ll reach a broader audience by marketing in different ways.

Keep these tips in mind as you build your marketing strategy and you’re sure to find success!
